Obituary

Diana Beatriz Muller born in Buenos Aires Argentina in 1946 passed away at age 75 in Miami, Florida surrounded by family. Diana was a renowned intellectual property attorney representing top brands including Perrier, LVMH, Viacom-CBS, Longchamp. Additionally, she was a pioneer in the US and abroad for the protection of the names and likenesses of famous sports figures including Michael Jordan, Arthur Ashe, David Ortiz, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Irvin “Magic” Johnson, Patrick Eweing, Shaquille O’ Neil, Pele and others.

Diana was a recognized expert in international trademarks and copyrights with numerous publications. She lectured extensively at the New York Women’s Bar Association, New York University, Women’s Wear Daily Legal Roundtable and at Inter-American Association of Industrial Property (ASIPI) where she also served as the President of the Entertainment Law Committee.

In addition to the law, Diana was an avid supporter of the arts in New York City, serving on the Board of Directors of City Arts. She frequented Broadway shows, ballet, symphony and opera – her favorite operas were La Boheme and Don Quixote. She is regularly seen at Lincoln Center with her friends and family taking in a show.

Diana was an active Executive Board member of the United Jewish Appeal Federation of New York, participating in the Events Committee and Women’s Professional Board, hosting events in support of the organization’s initiatives as well as traveling with the organization on cultural trips. She spent her life as a frequent flier with a passion for travel and international adventure.

Anyone Diana encountered instantly was taken in by her vibrant energy, sophisticated elegance, and kindness. She had a contagious laugh and an endlessly positive outlook, when combined with her boundless energy, captivated those around her. Her family and friends frequently called her “Wonder Woman” for her strength and courage. She was a dedicated and loyal friend to so many and was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and wife.

Diana was the loving wife of 54 years to her beloved husband Roberto Muller. She was the adored mother to Karina, Alex (Maya) Muller, Daniel (Ila) Muller; special Aunt to Eleazar (Lifi) Nun; and Abuelita to Simon Muller. She will be missed and is forever in our hearts.
